I have an 02 reg Vauxhall astra estate, the rear window heater/demister has stopped working. I have checked the fuses etc.

check for a duff fuse ,
you have 12v power supply (to) the switch ,
you have 12v from switch to the heater relay,
you have 12v from relay to the rear element,
the rear element wire has continuity.(note broken)

The wires maybe broke between the tailgate and the car body due to the opening and closing action of the tailgate
