i have the same dryer it has a valve that pops when it over heats its a little red button on the back of the dryer just push it back then should be ok again my dryer has been going for 8 years or more.

when this happened to mine i was told to look inside the vent tube to see if there is any water in it,if there is remove vent kit and dry it out mine was full of water,after i did this it heated up.
