How can I fix my Zanussi Electrolux ZDC5350W tumble dryer ?

Drying cycle starts but after 2/3 mins the machine stops and indicates that the water tank is full and needs emptying. This is not the case. All filters clean, and tank clear. I can continue the cycle by pressing the start button, but the same "water tank full" flashes up 2/3 mins later. Any assistance appreciated.

Thanks ck for your reply. Will be working on this later in the week. Just one other thing, is it easy and straight forward to remove the side panels?

at the back inside is a chamber with a float switch and if this fills up and water doesn't feed in to the tank it stops the machine from working.if the water collection tank is at the top then you will find a drain pump attached to the float chamber.if this has failed it will also cause the problem.take the top off and the side panels to gain access to this area
