i've got a ford transit 80 van which i use for spares.....

i drive a transit r-reg lwb 190 and the gearbox has given up.

Will the gearbox from the p-reg swb fit the R-reg lwb???????

yes it does so long as there both diesels they are a straight swap no need to change anything

yes i believe it dose but you have to swap the plate that joins the two halfs togeather it is attached to the engine side also check that the clutch thrust bearings are the same if not switch them as well.
also check the u/v-jiont that connects to the gear box via the prop shaft you might need to swap
