Thorn EMI Marathon

Model Marathon 80/100b
Fuel Type Gas
Boiler Type Conventional
Method Non-Condensing
Flue Type Room-Sealed
Fan No Fan
Output (kW) 23.4 - 29.3
Manufactured From/To Unknown - 1983

Very poor efficiency at 65% - modern boilers are typically 90%

All new boilers have to be Condensing type these days (by law I believe)

Consider A Worcester Bosch Greenstar 30CDi 30kW System boiler 90% efficient.

A pressurised cylinder will allow you to dispense with loft tanks and permit mains pressure water to all hot water outlets. Range Tribune Unvented Stainless Steel looks excellent.

Forget any attempt to replace like for like.

Expect it to cost £3500 or so (unless you engage British Gas)

A Combi (combination) boiler will not be appropriate for you.
