I have a renault megane coupe 1.6 V reg. How do I remove the battery as it needs to be recharged? I cannot see how it will fit between through the space
How do i remove the old battery. Got the grille off ok,revealed battery, but now faced with a long metal rod that is holding the base plate down on the battery.
How do i remove this rod,is a special tool required??

You have to remove the screw on the plastic surrounding the wiper arm it should have a little mark on it. You will need a hex key remove the plastic and battery can be removed

if you check around the plastic grill covering the battery you will see it is held in by 2 or 3 lugs which you push to release then 1 screw which is normally located by the wiper base undo this and then wiggle the grill out
