can bleeding the line on furnace cause it to slowly drip out?

we recently had to bleed the line on our furnace from running out out of oil and after we tightened the nut its slightly dripping from it .

When bleeding line using most times a 3/8 wrench you should open line hit reset and catch the unused oil in a can to replaced in oil tank . when closed it should stop right then . Maybe dirt under bleeder screw try to loosen when running just a bit catch the oil and tighten again.
