How can I add a handset to telstra v580a?

I have to unregistered handsets for my telstra v580a cordless phone am I able to register them

Switch off base station
Wait for handset screen to display "connecting"
Press and hold menu key on handset
Select yes to remove registration
Switch on base station and place handset in holder
Press page button on handset for 4 seconds
Handset should now register
