It helps if you tell us the make/year/model of car, and if it is petrol or diesel, manual or auto gears etc.
We also need a bit more info than "a light", there are quite a few, some more important than others.
Do you have the owners handbook for the car? Look in there to find out which light it is, then post back.
If you dont have the book, do you know someone with the same make, can you look at theirs for this info?
If you cant get this, give us a description of the colour, shape, any letters in the light, position on the dash etc.
Is the light still on when you drive the car?
Has the car been serviced recently/ever?
