Dryer on Indesit WDG1295W (Omega 1200) does not work?

The WDG1295 washes OK by I cant seem to get the dryer to work. I do not have the user manual and there does not seem to be an obvious way to get the dryer to work after the wash and spin cycle.
I have seen machines in shops where you have the option to set the dryer to start (usually after removing some clothes from a full load), but this machine just has a temp and timer setting which I set to 60/90 respectively to no avail
Can anyone with/without the user manual let me know how I can get the dryer to kick in?
Any help much appreciated.

I have the same problem: I set the temp and timer dials and it goes through the washing cycle fine but the drying cycle just doesn't turn on

Turn the 'drying' knob from 0 to whatever drying time you want, and it will set itself off, provided you're using a programme that finishes with a drying cycle
