Eircom 7000 cordless phone mute buttons activated?

I have lost the user manual for the above phone. The phone is showing mute but I can't clear it. Can anyone please help.

the phone should have a mute button, have you tried pressing that? If you have then just take out the batteries and leave the phone for a few minutes and then put the batteries back in. Hopefully this works
