ah if its a runner then they have a fuel pump that runs off a vaccum ,the pump is on the left hand side under the footboard it has a tank that runs from the front left of the bike to the middle where your knees and another small bottle in there too with a tap on it the fuel tap that is operated by a vaccum and will only allow fuel to flow when there is a vaccum on it i(e the bikes running).i would undo the clamp on the front of the carb to the inlet manifold and there should be a cable tie or another clamp on the other end of the carb to the airbox(usually a cable tie)then tilt the carb sideways and see if any fuel leaks out of it or you can undo the drain screw on the float bowl of the carb and it should come out of there too,if it does then theres fuel getting to it ok if not then there a problem with either the fuel ,pump fuel, tap pipework i.e a split or the float is stuck and holding the needle in the needle seat in the carb.its quite likeley to be a split in the vaccum hose its common on them.try a washing up liquid bottle cut in half put a pipe on the nozzle end of it and connect it to the fuel inlet of the carb and put a bit of petrol in it hold it up higher then the carb so gravity can work and see if it runs , at least it will confirm the fuelling problem if it runs then .
