problem bleeding vw bora brakes?

we have recently replaced the calipers and handbrake cable for the mot and now the brake pedal is spongy, we have bled them loads following the manual instructions and the fluid is coming through well into the bottle but when the engine is switched back on the brake pedal goes spongy again, any ideas?

Are you using a pressure bleeder or just pumping the brake pedal? Pressure bleeders tend to be better.
On some systems the ABS pump has to be activated using VAG-com or other suitable diagnostics systems to get all the air out.
Find out how much a dealer or VW specialist will charge to do them for you.
I hope you did not force the fluid back up the system when pushing the caliper pistons back, as this can flip the master cylinder seal and sometimes affect the ABS system.
