lossed immobiliser key how can i get bypass codes to start the car?

lossed immobiliser key for renault megane scenic 1997 have key that opens doors and turns engine over 1.9 diesel how can i get bypass codes to start engine have heared someone said all you need is the chassis or vin number if this is right who do i conntact thanks

need to go to Renault dealers they have the code they will be funny at first and not give it to you or say it doesnt exist as they loose money but perservere and theyll give it as youre car is a pre 2004 older version.

and download the small program as instructed, it will calculate your code, or go to a Renault dealer and pay them for it.
Remember you will have to enter the code every time you stop the engine for more than ten minutes. It may be more practical to get another remote and have it recoded, though it will cost quite a bit. You can also have the unit by-passed by places like this -
