my boiler has been making a clicking sound when it is running and now the fan makes a squeeking noise any ideas thanks

Hi Paul, have exactly the same problem with my Glow Worm Compact 100P. Called out a heating engineer who said it could be the fan or the pcb - rather than replace one and not solve problem then have to replace the other, he said solution might be to speak direct with Glow Worm and do a step by step diagnosis while working on it. Has yours been repaired now?

Sounds like it might be relays clicking - a lot of problems with dodgy PCBs on Glowworm Compacts (including mine). They're not cheap to replace, either... though you can get recon ones on eBay.

you have a click which could be from many a part and a squeeky fan. maybe the click is from the squeeky fan. could be kind of :

squeek squeek click squeek squeek click or

click squeek click squeek click click squeek :)

you would have to have a look and put a ear to it, maybe something to do with bearing on fan or something but we cannot guess a noise.
