Electric Fire Repair Problem?
We have an electric fire that is connected directly to a fuse switch/box nearby. It recently made a bit of a bang, a bit of a flash and didn't smell good, needless to say it has broken. I've changed the fuse in the nearby socket which it is connected to, but still not working.
I imagine it's the motor or something. I've contacted the manufacturer (Sheffield) who were zero help.
Can i fix it myself or does an electrician need to come and fix it? Will an electrician know what to do, with it being a specific electric fire problem?
It cost about £350, will it just be cheaper to buy a new one?
Cheers
