excess debris on top rack dishes?

Do I have to clean my filter???? And where is it? Old moffat. No cycles. Dishes are coming out clean, however, the bowls and glasses on the top rack have excess debris left on the outside (or top). It's old. Not sure of the make and model.

The baked on crud on the crockery is just broken down food debris left in droplets during the drying cycle - good to rinse off large deposits before loading but they'll always be some.

It comes from the rinse water not draining off as well as it should - the solution is to make sure you always use a good quality rinse aid - it helps the rinse water to drain off properly rather than form droplets.

The filters you have are at the bottom of the machine on the inside - good to rinse them in the sink now and again.
