peccavi they are not all right handed at all! please dont give out rubbish info it confuses people ,all yamaha bikes have a left hand thread on the right hand side and a right hand thread on the left hand side.and alot of imported bikes use the same method.Yes karen your right the threads are as you say uou need to get the broken bit out using a stud extrator of some sort avoid easy outs if you break those in there you will never get it out,if you can get it out then screw in your mirrors clockwise for the left on and anti for the right one make sure the lock nut is wound up as far as it can go and then get the mirrror in the posistion you want it and then lock each nut down to hold the mirror in place.ok if you get stuck post me on here.adam

All threads are right handed (clockwise to tighten) unless there's a rotating part that will tend to unscrew the thread during normal use - then they use a left handed thread - very rare - your wing mirrors will both be right handed thread form.

Screw mirror up tightly and work out how to adjust it to the correct position without snapping it - an adjustment at the other end probably.

Good luck...
