AEG Lavamat 16180. Drum not rotating?

At start of selected program 'easy cares 40 - easy to iron' + 'time saving' the machine fills initially. During filling the drum used to rotate for a few seconds. This does not happen anymore. Door indicator goes green and red again a few minutes after the watervalve was operated. After a while the water valve is energised again for a while. The waterheater does not come on. The time to end remains at 47 until the program resets itself and time to end indication is 51, flashing.
The belt is fitted and manually the drum can be rotated.
There is no error indication.
Your advice is highly appreciated,

Dear CK,
After removing the back cover it was found that one of the 4 wires between motor and its control pcb was cut. This must have been the result of a moving of goods without using the transport securing bolts. whitness marks were visible on the lower plastic frame. Repaired wires and now working OK.
Thanks for your assistance,

right. the flashing 51 is actually E51 no motor action so you say there is no fault code but this is the fault code.you need to remove the motor and then remove the motor brushes and check to see if they are worn out.sounds like they may have worn out.anything around 10mm long on the brush is worn out and will need replacing. Will not heat as the mahine has gone in to a fault code setting so hopefully with new brushes it will heat ok.
