my triton shower will not work?

The pull switch turns on the shower unit and is lit up. as soon as I switch the shower on all the lights go out but the trip does not trip

this is likely to be a problem with the pullcord switch.
The switch contacts sould be worn or burnt out.
Check and if needed replace the switch
