HI i have a lg wft502c fuzzy logic topload washing machine.
It will not turn the drum on the wash cycle the motor turns but back and forth but the drum wont engage. But on the spin cycle it will engage and spin the the drum
any ideas??

Hi Drew, I have the same problem with my machine. The bottom removable plate came loose and spun around in the drum on the spin cycle. I took the little middle cap off and screwed it back onto the hexagon metal base plate and it spins fine but now the drum does not work during the wash cycle. Can you tell me if there is a clip or another piece that should fit onto the plastic base of the plate before it gets screwed back on? When I turn the plastic screw on plate upside down it is flat and it appears something may have broken off or a connecting part is missing. (I can't pull the bowl out to check if there is a piece underneath ?) Did you have the same problem with the base plate coming off bfoeyour wash cycle failed to rotate? I have also lodged the question on another repair site and will share any answers with you that I get.
