How can I fix my hoover steam vac?

Hoover steam vac silver f900-900 . It will not suction up the water
gayle, March 2006
There are no belts as far as I can see. I believe the suction/brush operation is driven like the blades of a turbine, however I can't quite figure how the Air from the main fan motor is diverted to this part. I had the same symptoms as you and also thought maybe the shaft that drives the brush/suction had snapped, but don't see any evidence of this. Hopefully my answer can get the ball rolling as to how to fix the steam cleaner.

I have the same problem, I just took mine apart this morning. I haven't forgot how to re assemble it, but where is the belt if there is a belt? Mine started rattling real loud like a penny was in a fan. I am stuck at the moment on what is going on.
