Hi, my Aquatronic 2 is running cold, so not heating the water (the orange power light is still illuminating).

Any ideas please?

Many thanks.

I have the same shower and I have a problem in that it keeps going from freezing cold to scolding hot in a cycle over about 20 seconds. Ocassionally the little light on the shower goes out too. Can I fix this?

Cool - Thanks - found a tiny little ruber ball and shoved it back in.

Fixed

I wouldn't have bought another Wickes Aquatronic though!...You'll potentially have the same problem again somewhere down the line...

I use Gainsborough. Their design for a pressure relief device is a bit crude bit very effective. It is simply a small rubber ball inside a spur tube on the water outlet pipe (Where the hose attaches to)...If the pressure gets too great it simply 'fires' the rubber ball out of the tube and releases the water...The 'fix' is cheap...Just pop the ball back in to the tube! (providing you can find it!)

Triton are the same as the Wickes one...Once the PRD device has operated it's not cost effective to replace and
'chuck-it-away ' is the best option...Don't know about all the manufacturers though...

I've got the same shower as yours. The Pressure Relief Device is situated underneath the can/tank (this is where the water gets warmed up). So i changed the PRD but the water still kept pouring out the PRD. Then i realised that the valve for the PRD is inside the can/tank itself, for which the can/tank has to be changed. I then rang triton to inquire the price of a new can/tank for which the price they quoted was £65. So your better off getting a new shower, which is what i did. I got the aquatronic 2+ from Wickes for £55.
