replace thermostat on isuzu 1700 turbo diesel for astra ?

recently bought vauxhall corsa 98 r plate fitted with recon 1700 isuzu turbo diesel engine needs new alternator do i order corsa alternator or astra alternator do you know part number also high engine temperature after 25 mins driving could this be due to thermostat ?

The 1.7 TD usually comes from a cavalier of the same age. Corsa alternator should do, but find a guy with both in stock then bring yours in and pick correct one.

Overheating? big engine, little car.
