Here's the procedure to do an initial reset:
1) Turn off the power switch
2) Turn the key switch to the SP position
3) Simultaneously hold down the leftmost three keys on the third row from the bottom of the keyboard. On the default raised-key keyboard this would be the numeric 4, 5 & 6 keys. On the default flat keyboard this would be the PRICE SHIFT, PRICE and X2 keys.
4)Turn on the power switch.
If you do it correctly, the register will beep three times and display ****** IR ****** .
