How can I fix my Bosch WTA2000GB Tumble drier?

Hi, I have a Bosch WTA 2000GB01 tumble drier.

Recently it stopped heating, one of the heater ring elements had visibly blown so I bought and fitted a replacement, a repair that I have carried out successfully before.

But it still will not heat. The lamp on the on button comes on when pressed, the motor runs, the timer turns and shuts down after the allotted time,

I am confident that I have re-connected the wires correctly having made careful wiring diagrams and also photographed the connections before disconnecting

With a meter I have tested the temperature sensor and the overheat cut out and both show capability to pass current. The element, if connected directly to the supply, heats.

With the drum turning the meter shows there is no power to either element.

As a side issue the door has become hard to open.

Is it likely to be a failure of the timer, the door switch or something else?

A rapid reply would be appreciated as my wife is beating me up over the loss of her drier.

Many thanks and kindest regards

Trevor
