My afored transit 2004 duel fuel van is revving high even on tick over what may be causing this please

hi, my 04 transit was doing the same, got it fixed today it needed an accelerator pedal, £80 from ford , its just 2 bolts and a plug , remove old one from inside the cab and fit new one takes about 5 mins, running like a dream now and no more revving. hope this helps you regards sarah .
