does anyone know how to turn child locks of on A Renault Megane 1.4 06plate

if you open the rear doors and look at the side of them where the losk mech is you should see a small plastic tab sticking out slide that the opposite way to what it is now and the child lock should be in the off position now abling you to open the rear doors from the inside .
