how can i fix my dyson, dc07?

my belt went on my dyson, the dyson completely cut out and wouldnt work. i have taken off the belt and havent yet replaced it. have tried to start it since and it trys to start then stops again is this coz there is no belt. thanks

i dont know what jeff is on about. if you have tried to start your dyson without a belt fitted then it makes no difference and the motor would still start. therefore you obviously have further problems to which could be either the motor brushes, thermal cut out on side of motor or even the motor itself or it could be the switch or finally broken connection within the moulded fitted plug to which is a very common fault and in which case simply cut off the plug and fit a new one.

yes this could be true or there me a problem with the on/off switch,they are only a few pounds on ebay anyway
