my rover 45 has developed a metal to metal scraping sound when I apply the front brakes with more than a gentle pressure.Front brake pads have been replaced as I thought that was the cause but it didn't do the trick.My mechanic has declined a second attempt to rectify the problem and getting a competent man to do the job is a difficult proposition in Britain today.
