Machine just stopped 'washing', the pump takes in and pumps out water, but won't go through the wash programme....

Is it possible to change the brushes in the motor, if not is a replacement motor expensive? As the price of washers has dropped considerably, it may be cheaper to buy a new one.....

My Whirlpool ADP 2440's door does not stay closed unless a broom is wedged to keep it closed. It then works fine. Has anyone got any ideas?
