Bobbin crisis?

Hi, I have a Brother CE-5000prw sewing machine. It has worked fine all this time until a few days ago. I set it up and began sewing and I got an error message(E6). It said that the thread was tangled. So, I untangled it and tried again with the same result. The problem was that there was no thread coming from the bottom. I opened the bobbin case and turned the handwheel and the bobbin itself isn't turning, the thread just isn't catching. Something below the bobbin case rotates but the bobbin itself won't move and the thread won't catch. The needle looks fine and it seems as though it is working the way it is supposed to. I've read what you told someone else about the needle might being backwards and made sure to check but it just was not the case. I think I may need to retime it. can you please send directions? I would be most greatfull.

I have the same question just for different machine. It would be useful if the answers were publicly available - people would not have to ask the same questions over and over again! So, what to do with the machine?
