Our Hotpoint washing machine on opening the door when the wash had finished it was still full of water a code is now flashing which reads F – 05

Could you advise me on how to rectify the problem please or will I need to call someone out to fix it?

Weve got the same problem.

I think it is an aoutomatic safety cut - out which kicks in when the outflow pipe is blocked or the pump is faulty.

Ive tried to unblock the outflow pipe and quite a bit of black gunge came out so I thought Great --but no luck it still goes through the wash cycle until it tries to empty and then all the lights flash. It may well be the pump is broken.
