EPS light after replacing ABS Pomp?

Renault Laguna 2,2D 2002

I recently had a problem with my Renault where the ABS (Red code) and EPS (Yellow code) warning signs turned up while driving (Sometimes after 10 meters, sometimes after 30km.) I went to the dealer and they told me that problem would be most likely a failure in the ABS hydraulic Pomp. It wouldn’t be the sensors as that would’ve given a different error code. A new pomp was far too expensive so I got myself a second hand (Exact same product number) and replaced it myself.

The good news is that the ABS warning hasn’t turned up anymore however it’s replaced by a constant EPS warning. Does anyone know what’s the reason of this? Could it be that the car doesn’t recognize the EPS electronics of the pomp and is there anything I can do about this?

Thanks in advance.
