Ford Focus Heater fan not working?

The heater fan on My 52reg Ford Focus stops working after a while.

I does work first thing and gets slower and slower till it stops. It may spring back into life for a little bit, but then stops again

Thanks in advance

you may have a bad connection. If the heater blows cold but the fan switch works it is probably the heater resistor broke.

Come on Guys and Gals, surely somebody knows what bit has conked out! The switch is rubbish and I've had to change mine 3 years ago (1999 Ghia) with fiddly difficulty. It's snowing in Surrey today 16/12/09, and I need the same fix as Jasper right now please! We all know that the heater in a Ford Escort was better than the Focus – thankfully the rest of the car is pretty good. I use my Focus estate as a builders van so early morning frost is miserable with no heater. I'm guessing that some resistor or other overheats and slows the fan – it'll come back on after about a minutes rest but only for a short while again. Please Help!!!!
