i have a hotpoint aquarius dwf 30 dish washer?

the washing sequence seems ok but it is not heating the water up at all.I HAVE LOCATED THE heater element but there appears to be no power supply to it at all.arethere any pressure switches or protection relays at all? I cannot get any power on the red wire to the heater element!
