lg motor not turning?

I am an appliance tech of 21 years. I am factory authorized with lg. I have a problem with an lg washer. I replaced the hull sensor and it still jerks a little and makes a whining sound. I put another hull sensor in and a main control board and a new stator...still the same thing. I had this once before and one of the wires to the stator had broken and I fixed it and it worked. No such luck this time. Even lg engineering is not sure what it is...anyone got a line on this one ?

Check every magnet on the rotor. A hairline fracture of any magnet will cause an LE error.

I have seen two different cases of wire damage at the wire loom near the base of the washer---directly under the motor. Usually the wires are wrapped with white tape--remove the tape and fully inspect the wiring.

Follow the wires from the motor to the main board to rule out any damage elsewhere.

If a new Hall Effect Sensor has been installed---be extra careful not to break any of the *tabs* that secure the Hall Sensor to the stator. Broken tabs will cause the sensor to scrape against the rotor---damaging it.

Good Luck
