How can i fix my AEG competence D4100 double oven?

I have an AEG competence D4100 double oven. The top oven works fine. The main oven cooks to quick & burns everything has the thermostat packed in & if so how do i get into the oven to replace. Thanks

I can only echo what has already been said. The main oven thermostat for a AEG D4100m is obsolete and is unobtainable. I have tried and tried and tried - even rang AEG. A £50 cost has turned into £800 for a new oven - shame on you AEG, how can I buy AEG again?

I have the same problem with my AEG oven, I can't find the spare part anywhere. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Heather

Exactly the same problem! Must be a fault with this model! First find a thermostat, since they are obsolete! A net search of 45 pages turned one up in somerset. Electric bloke wanted to charge £200 for part and fixing. Part is £45. We've just done it. Pull cooker out, 6 screws or so fix it to unit. Put it on a table, unscrew top n back. Wires pull off old control. White control knob pulls off front to show 2 allen screws fixing the control. Whether it now works, time will tell! Otherwise up to £800 for a new cooker. Never AEG again. Good luck.
