Bosch Tumble Dryer WTA4108GB/01 tripping electric?
As above, I have a 4 year old tumble WTA4108GB/01 which has worked fine up until recently.
About a month ago, the bearing were making a loud squealing noise and I replaced it easily (The bearing had seized and was rotating on the shaft and in it's housing - bought a new one from a local bearing supplier and araldited it into the housing).
Now the machine trips the electricity supply when it is turned on.
I put my tester across the live and earth pins on the plug and it showed as a short.
After taking the top and back off and wiggling the wiring harness it still showed as a short.
I removed the heater element cover and checked it for a short to the surrounding casing but this showed no short.
I turned the motor slighty and the short went away.
So I reassembled the bare essentials and plugged the machine back in.
All was Ok until the motor started and the electric tripped immediately the motor started turning.
I have the motor out of the machine (to replace brushes and then found there weren't any -- DOH!).
Am wondering if the motor starting capacitor is faulty.
