I have a Servis Quartz 1000, and after it has filled up with water it does not do anything else (i.e. spin). Fault F4 comes up on display and says 'check manual', which I do not have.
I have a Servis Quartz that probably has similar fault codes:
F1 water temperature circuit is faulty
F2 machine takes too long to fill
F3 machine has failed to pump out the water before spinning
F4 motor is running too fast or too slow
F5 Fault in the heater circuit
My book says that F4 can happen if you have a very heavy load.
It also states if it occurs press CANCEL and hold till water pumps out.
Then press H fast spin only. If F4 repeats call engineer.
In the past I have had this fault and have replaced the motor brushes and a triac on the controller board.
