9 h.p. B&S Pressure Washer has fuel in the oil. Why?

I have a model 01905 9 h.p. B&S Pressure washer 3400 psi 3.2 gpm. It's second hand so who knows but I am checking the oil and it is spewing out and under closer inspection I see that the oil is diluted with gas. Where is that coming from? Part number and location? Anything would help.

Turn the petrol off everytime you stop the engine...failing that, remove the carburettor float chamber and examine the float and needle. A tiny piece of dirt will be holding the needle open.
