saab rear light problem?

I have a saab 9-5 on a T plate.

The display showed a brake light failure. I replaced the bulb and the brake lights and stop lights all stayed on.

Anybody have experience of this problem and a possible solution to repairing it

Remove the bulb you replaced.
Does the problem go away?
You have the fitted wrong bulb or fitted it incorrectly.

your brake switch is STUCK.
check the adjustment of the brake switch travel
this is some where behind the brake pedal arm .
alter the switch by moving the nuts higher or lower up/down the switch
