How do I remove the rear brake drum on Micra 1.4L 2009?

Micra Model - Acenta.
I have removed the rear wheel by undoing the 4 wheel nuts. I am not sure how to remove the drum, so I can inspect the brake pads for wear. I have done my own car maintenance on an Ford Escort for years, so I know all the saftey angles. Thanks David

Thanks for your replies - I want to know for future brake cleaning / replacement etc.

I want to find out how to remove the drum, I could not work out whether the drum pulls off once the wheel is removed - I could not gently lever it off, or whether there are bolts to be undone elsewhere on the back plate?
Your help appreciated. Thanks David

why would you want to? surely it's still under warranty.

check on the rear of the brake face plate close to the edge for a elongated rubber grommet this is the inspection window for viewing the linings. if one is not fitted the hub will have to come off, this may be held on by a couple of small screws through the brake hub, or held by the wheel bearing.
