OK ... here's the procedure for the TE-2000:
1) Turn the key to PGM, enter 3, press SUBTOTAL twice.

This will print out all of the mode 3 configuration options. Down near the bottom of this print, you will see CASH, CHECK and CHARGE, each followed by an 8 digit value. You'll need these values to make sure you don't turn off any options that have been enabled on these keys.

2) Take the 8 digit value obtained above for the CASH key and make the third digit from the right a 1. ex. if the value is 00004000 you would use 00004100 , if it's 00000000, use 00000100 . Enter this value (all 8 digits) and press the CASH key.
3) Repeat step 2 for the CHECK and CHARGE keys.
4) Press SUBTOTAL to finish programming.

Hope this helps ...

If you look at the section in the manual titled "Other Function Key Feature Programming" under "Cash, Charge, Check Key", you should see an option called "Print VAT breakdown" that needs to be enabled. Sorry I can't give more explicit instructions, I only have the manual for the TE-2000 not the TE-2200.
