how easy should it be to fit a new sump on a 99 1.6 x16xe corsa,its been lowered a bit and i find it a struggle to get under the car,is there an easier way to do it and dont say on a ramp or use a pit as i dont have access to this at the minute.the other problem i may have is the sump is also bolted to the gearbox i think and im wondering if ill disturb anything if i undo the bolts and remove the sump.any help will be appreciated ty

I take it the sump is alloy! On some cars the sump enters the gear box! and so the box has to be removed.not always the case though..
The thing to do is get a sump pan and check its flush with the box and there are no bolts holes you cannot see from under neath.
You will need a jack with axe stands or a ramp,pit good luck...
