how can i find the place on my renault megane automatic where the gear oil goes

With most automatic gearboxes the automatic transmission oil is filled via the dipstick tube.
Check owners handbook / visit a garage, level is normally checked with the engine running.Do not overfill.
Also ensure that you use the correct type of ATF fluid
