98 clio is overheating?

my 98 1.2 clio is overheating i have changed thermostat and sender switch could it be the water pump? if so where is this located and is it a big job?

The water pump is notorious for failing on these (although your problem is not guaranteed to be that).
Replacement means taking the offside timing belt covers off and the alternator to get in. (D7F engine).
