Hi, I have the same problem; front & rear wiper of my ford KA not working. try to switch the wiper, but the motor not sounds working. I'm thinking it was a fuse. I changed the fuse but still not sign of any changes. So, now i don't know what's the problem. Hope someone could help us. tx.

This happened to me last week - I dropped the car off at the garage thinking it would just be a fuse, but I ended up paying £173 to get a 'switch' replaced?! Now as somebody who doesnt even know how to replace a fuse on my car I didnt know how true this story was and just paid it, but I smell a rat. Anybody know what a 'switch' is?!

Just happened to me this morning. Am going to Halford to try the fuse solution now because both the front, rear and wiper fluid pump dont work so i am guessing electrical.

This happened this morning to my partners Ford KA.

She tried to use the wipers to move snow off the windows, the key here is, if it is the fuse, none of the wipers will work. If you back on still works, then it is a mechanical problem, but if front and rear wipers are not working it will be electrical. For a starter for 10, try the fuse as per Mike Brown's answer (Jan 2010 "15 amp fuse (blue) top row 5th from the left. Fuse box is below and to the right of the steering column.")

I will report back as soon as I have bought this after work.

Just done mine now it's a 15 amp fuse (blue) top row 5th from the left. Fuse box is below and to the right of the steering column.

This also happened to my KA during the cold spell. Is this easily fixable or will I need to take it to the garage? Any advice, would be much appreciated. : )

I am also having the same problem after snow on my windown and I took it to a garage today and I was told its not the fuse but motor needs repairing which costs money.

Nate, December 2009
I have exactly same problem with 53 KA, ive just dropped it off at the garage, i didnt want to risk driving incase it rained or snowed, hope its not expensive!!

Mine also not working after doing the same on my ford Ka this morning. Jeanette - please let me know if it was the fuse or the wiper relay.

I drove to work like it - but if it rains I'll be in trouble!

Suzie C, December 2009
99% it will just be the fuse.

fred, December 2009
you might have blown the wiper relay, usually a small box in the fuse box, it should be labeled on the fuse box cover
