oil boiler?

hi guys,
i have a font cal oil boiler that wont fire up.it goes through the pre ignition check but refuses to fire.the fan is running,the oil pump is woking,but no ignition. i have fitted a newphotocell.any ideas?

This could be a couple of faults, have you checked the oil level in your tank and also is the base of your oil tank higher than the base of your oil boiler base, if this is not the case then although there is oil in the tank the appliance will not fire as oil fired burners require gravity feed from oil tank unless a tiger loop is fitted at the appliance. Also how do you know the oil pump is working, how did you test it??! Is it possible the control box is faulty and also have you checked or replaced the photo cell. Seems like you may have a bit of trial on error ahed of you so best to locate an oftec engineer on www.oftec.org hope this info helps, post back and let me know how you get on
