mondeo tddi poor starting?

does anyone know if glowplugs in mondeo tddi help starting ford say no they are only for emissions

if the glow plugs arent warm enough the car will have trouble starting, switch on the ignition (not starting car yet) wait a few seconds then start the car...ths should warm them up enough :D
